When families hear the term “bootcamp,” it can bring up a lot of different assumptions. For some, it sounds intense or overwhelming. For others, it might feel vague – like a general promise of “extra help” without much clarity on what actually happens inside the sessions.
At Peritia Prep, the structure is intentionally simple and consistent.
Each bootcamp runs in four-week sessions, with students meeting twice per week for 75 minutes per session. It’s frequent enough to build momentum and retention, but spaced in a way that gives students time to process what they’re learning between sessions.
The sessions themselves are structured but not rigid. Each class typically includes a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. The pace is intentionally fast enough to keep students engaged and moving forward, but never so fast that understanding is sacrificed for coverage.
That balance is important. The goal is not to steamroll through material or race to the end of a checklist. Instead, it’s to keep students in a steady rhythm where they are consistently being challenged, but also consistently supported.
Within a session, students are often working on similar concepts, but not always at identical levels of difficulty. This allows for natural differentiation without labeling or separating students into fixed groups. When a student needs more time with a concept, they get it. When a student is ready to move ahead, they are not held back.
Another defining feature of the bootcamp model is repetition with purpose. Students don’t just see a concept once and move on. Instead, key ideas resurface in every subsequent session, which helps reinforce understanding and build fluency over time.
The intention is not to replace a full school curriculum or accelerate students beyond their appropriate level. It is to strengthen the foundation they are already building, so that future math feels less like a constant struggle to keep up and more like something they can actively work through with confidence.
