Admissions at Peritia Prep

At Peritia Prep, we’re building a small, intentional learning community where students are known deeply, challenged thoughtfully, and supported as whole people.

We are not a traditional school, and our admissions process reflects that. We care less about “perfect students” and more about the right fit between child, family, and learning environment.

Our goal is simple: to create a community where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a setting that is structured, humane, and alive with curiosity.

Who We Serve

Peritia Prep is designed for students who benefit from:

  • Small-group learning and close teacher attention
  • A structured but flexible academic environment
  • Strong emphasis on thinking, discussion, and real understanding
  • Support with foundational skills alongside deeper exploration
  • A calm, focused learning space that is not overwhelming or chaotic

We support a range of learners, including students who are advanced, on grade level, or who need time and support to rebuild confidence in key subjects like math and reading.

What matters most is not where a student starts, but whether they are ready to engage, grow, and participate in a learning community.

Our Admissions Philosophy

We do not believe in one-size-fits-all education.

Admissions is not about selecting “top performers.” It is about building a community that works well together.

We look for:

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Respect for peers and teachers
  • Readiness for a structured learning environment
  • Families who value consistency and partnership
  • Students who benefit from small-group instruction and individualized attention

We are especially intentional about group composition, because in a small micro-school, every student matters to the experience of the whole community.

Admissions Process

Our process is designed to be simple, human, and low-pressure.

Step 1: Inquiry

Start by filling out our inquiry form. This helps us learn a bit about your child and what you’re looking for.

Step 2: Family Conversation

We will schedule a short conversation to get to know your family, answer questions, and share more about how Peritia Prep works day to day.

Step 3: Student Visit or Trial Session

Students are invited to participate in a short visit or trial session when possible. This helps us understand how they engage in a real learning environment and helps them experience the classroom firsthand.

Step 4: Enrollment Decision

If it feels like a strong fit for both sides, we will extend an invitation to enroll. We may also discuss placement, scheduling, and any supports your child might need.

Class Size & Availability

Peritia Prep maintains intentionally small groups to preserve the quality of instruction and relationships.

Because of this, enrollment is limited and may close during the year once spaces are filled.

We encourage families to apply early, especially for fall placement.

Tuition & Enrollment

We aim for transparency and clarity so families can make informed decisions without pressure.

The Three Pillars of Peritia Prep are: STEM, Humanities, and Practical Arts. STEM is required for all enrollments, but Humanities and Practical Arts are elective add-ons. More details of each selection can be found on our Programs page.

  • STEM (Upper or Lower): $349 per month
  • STEM + Humanities: $699 per month
  • STEM + Practical Arts: $699 per month
  • All-Inclusive (STEM + Humanities + Practical Arts): $8,000 for the year* OR $849 per month

An enrollment fee of $125 will be required for first-time students. The enrollment fee for returning students is $100. The enrollment fee is waived for families who attended any of our 2026 summer camps. For any selections that include Practical Arts, a $100 supply fee will be due upon enrollment.

First and last months’ tuition are due upon enrollment along with any fees.

* A discount is offered to All-Inclusive families who prepay tuition for the entire school year.

Parent Partnership

We believe students thrive when home and school are aligned.

Parents are not expected to “teach at home,” but we do value communication, consistency, and shared support for student growth.

You can expect:

  • Regular updates on progress
  • Open communication with instructors
  • A partnership approach to academic and behavioral support
  • Clear expectations for attendance and engagement

A Note on Fit

Not every school is the right fit for every child, and that’s okay.

Peritia Prep is likely a strong fit for families who value structure, small-group learning, and academic depth and rigor in a calm environment.

It may not be the best fit for families seeking a fully flexible drop-in model or who have specific curricula they wish to implement.

Non-Discrimination Statement

Peritia Prep admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities. We do not discriminate in admissions or administration of our educational programs.
